Research Interests
Antimicrobial activity of essential oils and medicinal and aromatic plant extracts: determination of minimum inhibitory concentration and minimum bactericidal and fungicidal concentrations; and mechanisms of action. Effects of important yeasts in food; on phytopathogenic bacteria and fungi of importance; in post-harvest management of fruits; on the growth and production of mycotoxigenic fungi and mycotoxins; as a natural antimicrobial in meat products; action on Staphylococcus aureus isolated from bovine mastitis; on broiler diets; and as antibacterials in fish feed.
