Research Interests

Development and validation of analytical methods for important bioactive compounds present in foods; mainly using separation techniques such as, ultra-efficiency liquid chromatography, gas chromatography and capillary electrophoresis coupled with mass spectrometry. Application of statistical tools. Food quality and adulteration parameter studies. Bioaccessibility evaluations of bioactive compounds present in food.  Compound migration analyses in food packaging . Study of antioxidant capacity against reactive species. Research regarding aromas (wines, beer, fruits, essential oils, etc.) and vitamins in foods. Application of different sample preparation techniques. Reprocessing evaluations of food industry wastes.
